Role: Senior Network Engineer - *Re-opened*
Contract Length: anticipated 12 months
Location: Berkshire – 100% site attendance with some potential travel (expensed) to other sites
Our client is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer.
As the Senior Network Engineer you will be the Technical lead within the team with knowledge of network infrastructure, TCP/IP, networking and information system security principles, practices, and technologies.
A Senior Network Engineer is required to work with customers, project leads, third parties and other stakeholders to discuss technical service issues and assisting with the resolution of issues.
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with essential Juniper experience, along with previous experience with firewalls; routers; LAN; WAN.
As the Senior Network Engineer you will have the following responsibilities:
- Review daily, the status of the core network, logging incidents where appropriate.
- Escalate, in advance, to the Network Manager any likely breaches of agreed deadlines.
- Work with customers, project leads, third parties and other stakeholders to discuss technical service issues assisting with the resolution of said issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on network technologies.
- Work to assist with capacity and availability management of the network.
- Problem Solving: investigate and resolve problems for services within their own area of responsibility.
- Provisioning network services and devices where appropriate
As the Senior Network Engineer you will have worked in a similar role and will have the following skillset:
- Juniper experience essential
- Experience with firewalls; routers; LAN; WAN.
- Technical lead within team
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, TCP/IP, networking and information system security principles, practices, and technologies
Security Clearance: DV highly desirable; candidates with active SC clearance will be fast-tracked.
Contract Length: anticipated 12 months
