Pay Rate: Up to £17.50 per hour pay range subject to IR35 status
Currently this role is office based in LEEDS.
It is essential that you have previous legal experience for this role. LPC desirable.
To provide junior management support and carry out administrative duties that are moderately complex.
You will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions, under general supervision.
Key Accountabilities:
- To deal with bundling – creating a document for the lawyers
- Liaising with counsel – barrister going to court, regarding documents
- Liaise with courts
- Electronic document production /support
- Send documents to client/barrister
- Liaising with counsel clerk – documents adding to bundles
- Legal research sometimes needed
- Preparing routine correspondence, and checking that of others
- Compiling, verifying and reporting data
- Completing forms or reports
- Managing the workload of a small team, if required
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Key Requirements:
- Five GCSE passes at Grade C or above
- Two A level passes at grade E or above or equivalent
- NVQ Management Level 3 or 4 (or suitable junior management experience)
- Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Desirable Requirements:
- LPC qualification
- Previous experience of liaising with counsel and barristers
- Previous experience of liaising with courts
- Electronic documents experience
- Previous experience of sending documents to client/barrister
- Legal research experience
