Interim Programme Communications & Engagement Manager -Hybrid Working – PSR 1JP00062521
Pay Rate: Up to £550 per day pay range subject to IR35 status

Location: London – 2 days per week in the office minimum ( Wednesdays and Thursdays)

SC Clearance required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan and manage internal and external communications campaigns / projects effectively.
  • Support in developing and delivering an agreed communication strategy and plan for each policy issue or business priority.
  • Produce communications briefs which demonstrate the understanding and application of research.
  • Identify and flag risks associated with the communications campaign/project.
  • Liaise with policy leads to agree a communications approach that matches resourcing.
  • Manage communication projects to time and budget across all delivery channels.
  • Be the subject expert for these communication channels and share expertise with communication colleagues.


Key Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of Communications and Engagement
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Experience of supporting a digital and ICT programme or projects - desirable
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across the organisation, building strong relationships
  • Knowledge of Prosci and ADKAR being desirable
  • Experience of working in communications, either in-house or in an agency, preferably in an internal communications role
  • Experience of writing for different audiences
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • The ability to create simple communications assets, such as presentation slide packs and newsletter templates
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and ability to present work to others
  • Experience in planning, managing and delivering internal communications in a modern, fast-paced communications team/department
  • Hands-on experience of digital comms/intranet management experience /video production
  • Experience in leadership communications and interacting with senior leaders
  • Experience of working across global networks would be desirable
  • Project management, planning and prioritisation skills
