  • Hours per Week: 35-37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
  • This opening assignment is for 1 - 2 months

What's involved with this role:

To undertake and prepare snag lists for the internal trades teams in order to complete final finishes on residential construction schemes.

Must have a CSCS Card Site Operative/manager and be SSSTS/SMSTS trained.

A Finishing Foreman’s duties encompass many aspects throughout the building process. The main responsibilities include:

  • to comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy and as explained in Site Health and Safety rules/procedures
  • to comply with company policies, procedures and instructions
  • to prepare scopes of works and snagging lists for respective trades
  • to instruct various subcontractor trades / suppliers to carry out the works required including oversee and supervise labour / subcontractor levels on site
  • to ensure all relevant information concerning specifications and remedial’s are conveyed to the construction team in a timely and accurate manner
  • to deliver work to agreed timescales
  • to liaise / communicate between departments (construction, sales & customer care) to ensure works are completed
  • to produce customer care snagging list
  • to contribute to improving the business, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, implementing change

  4. Qualifications:
    1. CSCS Card Site Operative/manager
    2. SSSTS / SMSTS trained
  5. Knowledge & Skills:
    1. Strong knowledge of building regulations, NHBC standards and H&S legislation
    2. Excellent communication and leadership skills
    3. Excellent problem solving skills
    4. Ability to have effective working relationships
  6. Experience:
    1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience and preferably from a trade background
    2. Excellent knowledge and experience in housing construction
    3. Experience of working in inclement weather
  7. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages
  8. Full UK Driving Licence
  9. Prepared to work Saturdays/Weekends (if required)
